Cooking Class

Classes will begin at 2:00p.m. We have a French knife, recipe book and apron for you, yours to keep. We will begin with a short tutorial to demonstrate proper knife handling, next we will begin preparation of a beautiful four course menu. First course consists of a Ladner Fisherman’s pot with puff pastry crust, Second course is a cured salmon gravlax with capers, avocados and Crème Fraiche, main course will be the classic dish Duck a l’Orange, roasted nugget potatoes, glazed carrots, green beans, and confit of cherry tomato, finally we finish with the often scary but surprisingly simple chocolate soufflé. At 6:00 you can sit down relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a few special touches in our elegant dining room.
Class will be taught by Bruno Marti who was crowned World Champion at the Culinary Olympics in 1984, and Tobias MacDonald captain of Culinary Team Canada who hopes to duplicate that achievement in May at the American Culinary Classic in Chicago.
The cost is $175 which includes the recipe book, apron, chef’s knife and dinner. If you wish to have your significant other join you for the dinner portion, of course we can arrange that as well. To book a spot or if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to call Bruno or Tobias at 604-946-7717.
The next
cooking class will be held on 23rd November 2008 Sunday.
